Scopus unique document location though the EID
Overview
Scopus documents have a unique identifier called the EID, with this identifier it is possible to locate a given document without any additional parameter. Through the advance search in Scopus it is possible to use the EID(eidOfAFile) query syntax to search a given document. It is easy to search for only one, but when working with hundreds of documents selected individually it gets harder to extract this identifier and create a single equation with all of them. This tool allows to create an EID() equation to search in scopus using the EID present in the URL of a publication.
Steps
After exporting the results from a Scopus search into a CSV file, there is going to be a field Link with the following scheme:
http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-84942305213&partnerID=40&md5=f048711f6e2b74c396ec7c5831497deb
Copy only this column without the header (The first line of the column that says "Link "), and paste it in a new excel, or ODS file. Then save it as a CSV file. The new file must have only lines like the shown above (The tool does not check for errors yet).
Once it is done. Upload it here (Click on the Choose file button ) and the tool will extract the EID from the Link and it will create an equation with all of them.
Your results will appear in the Text area, just copy and paste it afterwards.
